New Venues Opening in Upstate New York

We love escaping the city and heading to Upstate New York to create magical weekend experiences for our clients.  From the Catskills to the Hudson River Valley, so many new venues are opening up.  Here are the ones we are most excited about.

The Old Mill Guest House
From the owners of Audrey’s Farmhouse, The Old Mill Guest House is located in Wallkill, NY just under 2 hours from NYC. Surrounded by beautiful lush trees and grass, this venue is perfect for a dreamy outdoor wedding in the woods. With its 20,000 sq ft event lawn and 5,000 ft stone floor pergola, it can accommodate up to 200 guests. Beautifully decorated and uniquely curated accommodations are on site for up to 50. By day your guests can relax by the pool and by night, gather around the bonfire.  

Inness

Featured in Vogue, and one of the most anticipated property openings, Innes does not disappoint. Located in quaint Accord, NY, Innes is situated on 220 beautiful pastoral acres. Here your guests will be upstate in luxury with amenities including a spa, golf course, tennis courts, and pool. Hosting your wedding in their 17th century inspired barn will feel anything but rustic with its Scandinavian inspired design. Other design elements throughout the property include limewash walls and even a marble bar, this place has spared no expense.  

Foreland

Foreland is a contemporary industrial venue located in central Catskill, New York. The main building was erected in the 1800s and although newly redone, has kept its charm with steel beams, original wood, concrete floors, and exposed brick. The ground and penthouse floors of the main building have beautiful natural light and boast views of the waterfront and the Catskill Mountains.  In summer, have your ceremony on the lawn, for which you can arrive by boat as it’s on the bank of Catskill Creek. The true gem of this venue is the Bookhouse space. We love it for a cocktail style reception where guests can move about and explore the different areas and enjoy the large wrap around bar.  

The Wire

Previously a historic iron foundry, The Wire has a modern industrial design that is right on the Hudson River in Coxsackie, New York. This is the place to book if you want to enjoy one spot all weekend and not worry about transport. Start things off with your welcome reception on the deck next door with pizza from a stone oven. Your ceremony can take place on the lawn right on the Hudson River (you won’t believe the views). Up to 250 of your guests can enjoy cocktail hour on the Wire’s covered patio before dining and dancing under wood beams. in the main hall. For your after party, you’ll enjoy rooftop drinks at the adjacent James Newbury Hotel. Up to 90 guests will be able to stay onsite at this boutique hotel, something rare for upstate.
