How far in advance should you start wedding planning?

How far in advance should you start planning your wedding? It’s one of the most asked questions we get. 

You should start working with a planner at least 12 but ideally 18 months in advance. Which means if you got engaged over the holidays and are wanting to get married in 2023 now is the time to hire a planner. 

With the current wedding boom I recommend getting started sooner than later to ensure the venue and vendor team you want to work with are available. I am already seeing spring and fall dates book up at popular venues for 2023.

There will be a lot of weddings the next few years so don’t sleep on your save the dates. Stationery generally needs a 3 month lead time once the design process starts and we recommend sending them at least 9, but ideally 12 months in advance.
