Escort Cards, Place Cards, and Seating Charts: How to do Seating for Your Wedding.

Escort card, place card, seating chart? There are different ways to let your guests know where to find their seat at your wedding. Below we share our favorite ways to do wedding seating.

Seating Chart: With this option guest names will be printed a poster or large size print. For wedding with more than 4 tables, we suggest putting guest names in alphabetical order with their table number next to their name. If your guests are a couple you can put them on the same line. Then at the tables themselves, place easy to be seen table numbers.

Escort Card: With this option, guest names are printed onto a card along with their table number. We like to create displays with the cards, either flat on a table with florals or by placing the cards onto a large poster to create a nice design. Guests then take the card with them to their seat. Again you will want to have table numbers so your guests can find their table.

Place Card: These are placed at your guest’s seat to show them which seat is theirs. Place cards are used in conjunction with a seating chart or escort card if you would prefer to choose your guests seat, rather than having them choose. We recommend doing place cards at least for your head table so that you can decide who you will sit next to at your wedding dinner.
